Oh no not another running blog!

No benches, no half-time, no time-outs…welcome to my world

You'll be pleased to hear that after much deliberation I (begrudgingly) decided against naming this blog Run Bitch, Run. Maybe I need to stop binge watching so many Netflix Original Series! Instead I went for the much more self indulgent Pretty Tired Runner. I am hoping this title sums up my relatively new passion for running and my daily juggles as a working Mum and wife! I am on the go all of the time (who isn't?!) so am almost always tired (again, who isn't) and I am really girly and feminine so like to (try) and look pretty even when running! But I guess you will be the judge of that!

Hopefully by now you realise that this isn't going to be your typical running blog. I wont be doing any '7 reasons why you didn't get that PB' or 'The one thing you really need to know before doing your first 10km!' because honestly I don't know the answers to those things and you will discover very soon that my motto in almost everything is "I'll just wing it!"

A little about me . . . I am in my late twenties with a husband and two children (one pink and one blue!) aged 8 and 6. We were pretty young when we became parents, but wouldn't have it any other way, it's pretty cool still knowing the shows that are on the Disney channel (although that does also say a lot about my TV viewing habits as a teenager!) and having the energy to keep up with two very active children. Luckily they enjoy running, as does my husband so we do love running as a family. Other than being a mum, I am a Marketing Manager in the Leisure industry, which is a job I love. I'm on all the usual Social Media outlets, with Instagram being my personal favourite. I will post links at the bottom of the page.

Back to the running . . . I've just signed up to do a 6km cross country run in May, it will be the longest race I have taken part in. I have done a few 5km races and really like the distance so now I am working on getting my speed up then finally pushing myself to do a 10km! All my efforts, struggles, triumphs etc. will be documented here, so I look forward to sharing them with you.

That's all for now. Keep running.
